Unión está viviendo la previa a las elecciones dirigenciales del club y algunos asuntos por resolver quedaron relegados. Atendiendo que los comicios tatengues se llevarán adelante el próximo 1 de junio, la política copó el escenario.
Uno de los temas a resolver era la continuidad del goleador del equipo, Franco Fragapane. El ex Boca tiene contrato con Unión hasta el 30 de junio próximo y las negociaciones quedaron truncas. Par el mundo Tatengue, retener a Fragapane es de vital importancia ya que fue quien más tantos marcó del equipo.

A finales del año pasado, la dirigencia le habría ofrecido una extensión del vínculo, pero las pretensiones económicas del jugador no estaban colmadas. Hace unas semanas, antes de que Unión sea eliminado de Copa Superliga, volvieron a hacer un intento. Esta vez aseguraron que le iban a comprar parte de su pase. Sin embargo, nuevamente la oferta fue negada porque Fragapane querría algo más en lo económico.
Al parecer, se esperará que las elecciones hagan lo suyo para saber si seguirá al actual dirigencia o cuál vendrá. Pero el tiempo apremia y el jugador puede ser pretendido por otros clubes.
