QUAD FOCUSED WORKOUT ? I’ve been asked to do a quad (especially vastus lateralis aka outer quad) workout so many times now so here it is! Ps: I’m BACK to posting daily (almost,lol) now. No worries! ☺️? – ? HIGH BAR SQUAT – Feet shoulder with apart. Squat down to just below parallel or lower if you can. 3 sets | 8-10 reps. ? LEG EXTENSIONS – Use a weight that allows you to do 12-15 reps. Meaning you should absolutely not be able to do 16! Helllooooo ? sweat! Point your toes slightly inward to put more focus on your outer quad. ? WALKING LUNGES – superset your extensions with this 3 times (16 steps total/set) and then to another 3 sets of 10 reps! ? LEG PRESS – Shoulder width stance. Your knees should go towards your shoulders when dropping down so don’t place your feet too high on the step. There’s a lot of studies showing that your quads work just as much in a narrow as a wide stance so you don’t have to do a super narrow stance. – I ended my session with two calf exercises (standing and seated) for 3 sets each.
