El ministro de Seguridad, Maximiliano Pullaro habló desde el lugar de la fuga con los medios de comunicación. Allí aseguró que a bordo del vehículo del servicio penitenciario iban 13 convictos, de los cuales nueve se dieron a la fuga.
“Los presos estaban en la cárcel de Coronda y habían viajado a Rosario a encontrarse con sus familiares, y en el momento de la fuga volvían a Coronda” explicó el ministro.

Por mes, se realizan entre 3000 y 5000 traslados, y este fue uno más. Una medida judicial indicaba que debía realizarse un traslado de acercamiento familiar. Los presos habían estado en Unidad Penitenciaria N° 3 con sus familiares, y estaban volviendo a la cárcel de Coronda.
Además, explicó que “se sabe muy poco” sobre lo que pasó. “Venían siendo trasladados 13 detenidos, y en una situación confusa, de los 13, nueve lograron evadirse. En un principio tenemos algunos recapturados, dos seguro y otros dos, estamos chequeando la identidad. Están siendo trasladados y demorados en la comisaria 24” acotó.

En cuanto al robo de vehículos, Pullaro detalló que los delincuentes se llevaron dos vehículos, una Surán y otro marca Fiat.
Al ser consultado por cómo pasó esto, el ministro dijo que no descartan nada. “Yo estaba en el norte de la provincia, y apenas me enteré vine acá para conducir este operativo. Vamos a encontrar a los evadidos. Yo me voy a avocar personalmente a la recaptura de estos evadidos y vamos a evaluar qué es lo que sucedió para establecer responsabilidades” aseguró.
En el área se encuentra trabajando la Brigada Aérea, 120 efectivos de la Unidad Regional 2 y efectivos de diferentes fuerzas policiales.
