Ángel es un vecino de Santa Fe que viajaba desde Rosario justo en el momento en que el colectivo de penitenciaría era emboscado por dos vehículos para liberar a los 14 presos que iban arriba.
El vecino de Santa Fe quedó atrás del micro cuando empezaron a bajar presos y policías. “Empezaron a tirotearse”, indicó. Y completó: “No sabía para dónde iban a ir las balas”.
El colectivo de penitenciaría se dirigía de Rosario a Coronda, pero apenas había hecho tres kilómetros de la autopista cuando sucedió la emboscada.
“Ví como dos policías le tiraban a los presos y cómo un preso le disparaba a un policía”, dijo Ángel que llamó al 911 para dar aviso y avanzó unos 150 metros hacia adelante para quedarse a resguardo. “Me quedé mirando por el espejo retrovisor”, contó el vecino. Y agregó: “Vi que muchos presos se iban corriendo, cruzando la cuneta. Yo los vi escapar corriendo hacia el barrio”.
Luego llegaría la policía y empezaría un operativo cerrojo en el que logró recapturar a siete de los 14 escapados. Ángel siguió camino hacia Santa Fe, pero con muchos nervios, luego de lo que le tocó pasar.
