No hay dudas de que el acordeón de Marcos Camino hace que Los Palmeras sean únicos en la música argentina y los reyes de Santa Fe. Pero hay otro sonido, casi oculto, que los hace inigualables. Y en la gira que están haciendo por Buenos Aires, el grupo de cumbia reveló el pequeño misterio.
“El secreto del sonido es esto. Suena como un bongó, pero es un cajón peruano chiquito”, contó Cacho Deicas ante la pregunta de Andy Kusnetzoff en Radio Metro. Y completó: “Es un invento de un luthiers de Paraná”.

En Perros de la Calle, un tradicional programa de Capital Federal, se los notó distendidos y muy divertidos. En media hora de entrevista contaron varias anécdotas y tocaron cinco temas acústicos que contagiaron a los conductores y a los oyentes de una radio que, hasta hace poco tiempo, sólo pasaba música en inglés.

Tan divertidos estaban que cuando Camino intentó presentar a los músicos que lo acompañaban, se olvidó del nombre de uno: “en la historia hemos cambiado 42 músicos. Es que cuando quieren cobrar se van”, bromeó. Los Palmeras se presentarán por primera vez en el Luna Park, el 1 de junio.
