“Según lo informado por la Dirección de Epidemiología del Ministerio de Salud y Desarrollo Social de la Nación, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación que confirmó la aparición de dos casos de botulismo”, indicó una alerta emitida por ANMAT.
“Atento a ello, la Dirección General de Higiene y Seguridad Alimentaria junto con la ANMAT realizó una inspección en el establecimiento elaborador del producto en cuestión, sobre el cual se impuso un cese de elaboración y comercialización. Debe destacarse que, durante el procedimiento, se detectó que ningún producto marca Tsuki Macro Vegan contaba con autorización sanitaria”, siguió
La ANMAT intimó a la elaboradora a retirar de inmediato todas las unidades de los alimentos con esa marca y se recomendó a la población “que se abstenga de consumirlos, que mantengan los envases cerrados y separados de otros alimentos y que se comuniquen con la autoridad bromatológica local para coordinar su entrega”. Asimismo, quienes expendan los productos deberán cesar su comercialización.
El botulismo es una enfermedad grave causada por la bacteria Clostridium botulinum, que puede entrar al organismo a través de heridas o por ingerirla en alimentos mal enlatados o mal conservados.
Sus síntomas pueden aparecer entre ocho a 36 horas después de consumir los alimentos contaminados con la toxina y pueden incluir cólicos abdominales; dificultad para respirar, deglutir y hablar; visión doble; náuseas; vómitos y debilidad con parálisis en ambos lados del cuerpo.
