Diego Mesaglio comenzó su carrera artística desde muy pequeño y su salto a la fama se produjo luego de que interpretara a Corcho, en la tira Chiquititas. Sin embargo, un accidente doméstico le dio un vuelco en su vida y hoy lucha por volver a recuperar su visión.
En el programa PH, Podemos Hablar, el conductor pidió que pasen al frente quienes alguna vez pensaron que se morían. Ante esto, el Pepo, Mirta Busnelli y Diego Mesaglio dieron un paso adelante. Al momento de tomar la palabra, el actor reveló detalles del accidente que le provocó la pérdida de la visión en su ojo izquierdo.
“Tuve siete operaciones en la visión y la sexta fue un trasplante de córnea de urgencia, donde al mes se me infectó”, comenzó relatando y añadió: “En el ojo tuve un accidente doméstico. Se me patinó una botella de alcohol y me ingresó un chorro directamente en el ojo“. A su vez, el actor continuó explicando que lo más grave no fue el accidente, sino que el primer médico que lo atendió inmediatamente después del suceso, cometió una mala praxis.
Pese a esto, Diego Mesaglio continúa en espera de un trasplante de córnea, el cual aseguró que podría devolverle un 60% de la visión de ese ojo.
