Es un día de luto para la cumbia santafesina. En la madrugada del sábado murió Juan Carlos “Banana” Mascheroni, el líder de Los del Fuego, tras sufrir una falla cardíaca en pleno show en Avellaneda, en la madrugada del sábado.

Lo confirmó su productora, a través de un mensaje de Facebook, donde avisaron que a pesar del esfuerzo, “Banana” falleció luego de ser trasladado al hospital Fiorito. No pudo salir adelante.

Es una gran pérdida para la cumbia santafesina. El cantante fue fundador de Los del Fuego, en 1984, sacaron más de 30 discos e hicieron éxitos reconocidos a nivel nacional.

Por eso, muchos artistas mostraron su respeto desde muy temprano, este sábado. El primero fue Mario Pereyra, su colega puso una foto juntos y escribió “que en paz descanses Banana”. También Gaby González, el actor que hace de “Rosita” en Pasión de Sábado, le dedicó un mensaje: “Te fuiste Viejo Lobo de Mar. Te voy a extrañar, lindos momentos vividos quedan en mi corazón. Gracias por tantos años de Los Del Fuego. Hoy se apagó la llama”.

“Buen viaje, pico y pala”, le escribió Pablo Lezcano, cantante de Damas Gratis y uno de los protagonistas de la cumbia.
