El intendente de Santa Fe y candidato a gobernador de Cambiemos se coló en la agenda con un anuncio que hizo ruido. “Tenemos una buena noticia para compartir con los santafesinos. Es un motivo de orgullo”, dijo antes de revelar que el debate presidencial, camino a las elecciones 2019, se haría en el Paraninfo de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral.

“Santa Fe se postuló y consiguió que la Cámara Nacional Electoral nos elija”, completó luego Corral en la mañana del martes, antes de que se iniciara la polémica.

Porque al recibir el anuncio que había realizado el intendente, en la gobernación se sorprendieron: “se adjudicó una gestión que hicimos nosotros”, aseguró un funcionario a NexoDiario. De acuerdo a la misma fuente, hace un par de días gente de la Cámara Electoral Nacional se había comunicado con ellos para confirmarle que la provincia había quedado designada y, como indica la ley 27.337, la capital provincial sería sede. “No eligieron a Santa Fe ciudad por una cuestión particular, sino por que la norma así lo establece”, confían desde la Casa Gris.

El 26 de marzo, representantes de la Cámara Electoral se habían reunido con el ministro de Gobierno y Reforma del Estado, Pablo Farías, y con el director de Reforma Política y Constitucional, Oscar Blando, “para avanzar en la realización del primer debate presidencial obligatorio exigido por ley”.

En Ciudad también se auto proclaman como los que gestionaron el debate. Incluso aseguran que además del Paraninfo habían ofrecido el Parque de la Constitución, pero que por cuestiones técnicas e historia, eligieron el primero. Además dicen haberse reunido, junto al rector de la UNL, con miembros de Argentina Debate y otros organizadores, por lo que tenían derecho a contarlo.

En lo que no había grieta entre el socialismo y Cambiemos era que el Paraninfo de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral era el lugar adecuado para la realización del evento. Eso es lo único en lo que siguen coincidiendo.
