El 23 de septiembre de 2017, Juan Carlos “Banana” Mascheroni debió sufrir una intervención coronaria. El cantante de Los del Fuego había sufrido un preinfarto, lo que le impidió realizar una gira por La Rioja y debió posponerla para el mes siguiente.

Otra falla cardíaca iba a acabar con su vida casi dos años después. En la madrugada de este sábado, la banda daba un show en Avellaneda cuando su líder cayó hacia el público. Lo trasladaron hacia el hospital Fiorito, pero no hubo nada por hacer.

“En la madrugada del sábado 18 de mayo, nos encontrábamos haciendo un evento con Los del Fuego, cuando ocurrió una fatalidad inesperada. Su cantante Juan Carlos Mascheroni, el ‘Banana’ para nosotros, sufrió una falla cardíaca; fue trasladado al hospital Fiorito, pero no pudo salir adelante y pese al esfuerzo de los médicos, falleció esta madrugada”, publicaron desde Zelaya producciones, quienes trabajaban con Mascheroni.

Otra vez una falla cardíaca afectó al “Banana”, pero esta vez fue fatal. Un día de luto para el mundo de la cumbia.
